Using Tulle for Valentine’s Day Card 2018

This  year on Valentine’s Day I am thrilled to showcase the Fully Loaded Kit by Creative Escape Papercrafting which brings some unconventional colours and designs.

The kit has a very vintage essence with loads of pastels and nude colours. It is also packaged with great embellishments, card stock, utilities, stamps, dies, ribbons, tulle, embossing powder, glitter drops and a goodies bag filled with sentiments and tags.

Window cards are always a delight but this one was special. For this one I used the white matte tulle included in the kit to cover the opening of the window. I wanted this one to be very monochromatic so that the gold ornate sentiment is accentuated.

For the base i chose one of the Charcoal card stock from the kit and for the panel (which also becomes the background of the window), I chose  a powder blue printed paper from the kit which had a very faint script scribbled across. This added a very light hue to the black, white and gold card.

For the window panel I went for the monochromatic beautiful butterfly paper which is slightly embossed. But before sticking this i had to prepare the window.

I cut out a rectangle window through this butterfly panel and cut out a small piece of tulle to cover this window and stuck it using some multi medium matte by Ranger.

I have put only one layer of foam tape at the back for dimension here and then stuck it on the card base having that light blue panel.

For the sentiment i decided to fuzzy cut out on of the ornate frames from the specialty paper and stamped the sentiment from the ‘Romance’ Stamp and Die Set by Kaiser Craft from (included in the kit also) using some Versafine Onyx Black Ink inside the ornate frame.

For a little more splatter of gold i added some Mudra Couture Sequins – Gold. What i really like about the Mudra sequins are that they are all in different sizes.

These sequins are perfect to balance the splashes of gold here and there in all different sizes.

The kit included a beautiful 1 Yard of Ivory Lace Ribbon.

As a last addition I simple tied the lace on the hinge of this card to finish this card.

After looping I put a double knot at the front of the card to create a focal point.

And this card was ready in no time. This is one of the quickest cards I have made and yet it looks so complex and beautiful.

Also this card could be given to anyone and is not meant for just couples.
It can also be given just to say a Thank – You for all the people have been loving you over the years.
